About Intro to Sewing Skills NQ

Introduction to Sewing Skills NQ allows students to build on existing sewing skills, with the opportunity to use industrial sewing machines and equipment. Students develop and learn how to draft a pattern, make changes, and then produce a garment of their own design.

The students this year were able to design and create dresses in their individual styles, taking inspiration from market research. They researched dress styles and fashion details, and produced drawings of their designs to draft and cut sewing patterns. The students finished with completed dresses, surpassing the brief with some amazing designs and features.
