About the artist
Nicola progressed from previous study on Textiles HNC to the next level on Textiles HND this year, expanding on the technical skills gained through the course and creating a set of garments that fit together as a set.
Nicola’s coat is fully lined in a vibrant patterned silk, with matching top and trousers along with scarf accessory.

“I am currently studying my first year of HND Textiles. I signed up this course to obtain new skill sets which would enhance my creativity in all things arts and crafts.”
“I chose the theme 'Peaceful Nomad' for my fashion project because I really connect with the beautiful colours, shapes and prints of many ethnic cultures.”

About Textiles HND
HND Textiles is a highly creative, design-led course for those with a passion for designing and creating, providing you with the opportunity to explore your creative potential. Through the process of experimentation with materials and media, you will establish your own design practice, with opportunities to design textiles for fashion, interiors and accessories.
The lecturing team is composed of a dedicated group of professionals with a breadth of experience within the creative industries. Studying in our specially equipped fashion and textile department at UHI West Highland, you will work on projects from the initial planning and research stages, through design and development, to the production of final outcome.
